Qualified Builder – Residential

Location: Christchurch (projects across Canterbury & Central Otago)
Position: Full-Time

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Qualified Builder to join our team, specializing in new residential homes. This role focuses on framing through to interior finishing, delivering high-quality workmanship across our builds. Working closely with our project manager and draftsman.

Key Responsibilities

• Wall and roof framing for new residential homes

• Installation of windows and exterior doors

• Interior fit-out including doors, skirting, architraves, and hardware

• Working alongside site managers and subcontractors to meet build timelines

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized worksite

• Adhering to all health & safety requirements

Skills & Experience Required

• Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP)

• Proven experience in residential framing and finishing carpentry

• Strong knowledge of construction methods and NZ Building Code

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team

• High level of accuracy and pride in finishing work

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Requirements

• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s license

• Own tools suitable for framing and finishing work

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

• Able to travel to Wanaka, Queenstown for a few days at a time
