Grow Your Region. Build New Business. Make an Impact.

Are you competitive, confident, and hungry to build something of your own? Do you thrive on the chase, the hustle, and the satisfaction of turning cold leads into loyal clients? If you’re ready to dominate the South Auckland market and grow a powerful client base, this is your opportunity.

Nexus Agoge Recruitment, one of New Zealand’s leading recruitment agencies, is looking for a dynamic and driven Recruitment Consultant to connect jobseekers with jobs they love and help Kiwi businesses thrive across Auckland!

This is a full 360 recruitment role, but your real strength will be new client acquisition, commercial drive, and building a profitable desk from the ground up. We’re ideally looking for someone who is willing to hustle and put in the hard yards to deliver results. You'll be a curious learner, keen to do what it takes! If you’ve worked in labour hire—especially warehousing, manufacturing, or construction—you’ll be ahead of the game.

What You’ll Do:

  • Win New Business: You’ll own the Manukau / South Auckland territory. You’ll be on the road, walking into businesses, meeting decision‑makers, and securing new opportunities. You’ll know how to open doors, build trust fast, and convert prospects into long‑term partners.

  • Lead Your Clients Strategically: You’ll understand their workforce challenges and position yourself as the expert who can solve them. You’ll guide, influence, and set the pace—becoming the go‑to partner they rely on.

  • Deliver with Pace: When clients need people, they need them now. You’ll move fast, juggle competing priorities, and keep momentum high. You’ll own the entire recruitment process, from job brief to candidate placement, and back yourself to deliver. Source, screen, and interview candidates to match them with their ideal roles.

  • Outperform Targets: You’ll be driven by results. You’ll chase KPIs, hit placement goals, and take pride in building a strong, profitable desk.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Hunter’s Mindset: You’re not waiting for work to come to you, you’re out there creating it. You’re confident walking into new businesses, picking up the phone, and having straight, commercial conversations.

  • Hustle & Grit: This industry moves fast. You’ll thrive under pressure, stay sharp when things get busy, and put in the hard yards when your clients need you... whether that’s early morning or late evening.

  • Strong Communicator: You can hold your own in any conversation. You’re direct, clear, and compelling. You’re not afraid of tough calls or honest feedback.

  • People first: You genuinely care about helping people into work, and you know how to connect with clients and candidates alike. Curiosity is your superpower—you ask the right questions and learn fast.

This role is a full-time position, with a mix of in office, at clients sites, and remote working. You’ll self-manage where you work from, but the more you’re on the road in front of people the more you’ll win in this role! This orle may also have opportunity to grow our branch across the Waikato region, so we are also open to someone based in Hamilton too. You'll also need your full Class 1 drivers licence.

We're not necessarily looking for recruitment consultant experience... perhaps you might have a bit of business development or sales experience in another industry, and be willing to learn, hustle, and grow with us!

If you’re ready to build a rewarding career in recruitment and help shape the future of New Zealand’s workforce, Nexus Agoge Recruitment wants to hear from you!
