Legal Executive/Solicitor - Conveyancing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Executive or Solicitor to join our law practice at Pegasus Bay Law in Kaiapoi, Canterbury. Within part-time negotiable hours you will provide support to our busy director alongside our team across a range of residential and commercial property transactions.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and managing conveyancing files, including agreements for sale and purchase, reviewing LIM's and titles, and related paperwork

• Liaising with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and coordinate the smooth progress of property transactions

• Conducting property searches, registering documents with the Land Registry, and managing completion and settlement processes

• Preparing Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney and assisting clients with Estate planning

• Staying up-to-date with changes to law and regulations to ensure compliance

 What we're looking for

• A Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE or a Legal Executive with experience in conveyancing files and general legal practice

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and our team

• Proficient in using legal software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office applications

• A keen interest in property law and a commitment to staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments

• Be a team player who is happy to assist others as required and contribute to the success of the firm
