The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced DIMs Manager to support and evolve Lifetime’s Discretionary Investment Management Service (DIMs).
This is a senior role focused on ensuring our DIMs offering is underpinned by strong oversight, regulatory discipline, and high-quality investment thinking.
You will act as Lifetime’s internal subject matter expert across investment design, portfolio construction, and DIMs regulatory requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, external investment partners, and our adviser network, you will help ensure our investment offering remains robust, practical, and aligned to strong client outcomes.
This role can be based in Christchurch, Auckland, or Wellington.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the internal subject matter expert for Lifetime’s DIMs offering across investment design, portfolio construction, and regulatory requirements
Support the ongoing development and refinement of the DIMs suite, contributing expert input into strategy, structure, and enhancements
Lead DIMs oversight activities, including performance monitoring, portfolio analysis, and operational reporting
Prepare and deliver high-quality reporting and insights to the DIMs Oversight Committee
Support the DIMs Oversight Committee (chaired by the CEO), ensuring clear visibility of investment performance, risks, and operational matters
Ensure compliance with DIMs licence obligations, including regulatory reporting and documentation requirements
Oversee model portfolio implementation, monitoring, and optimisation in line with agreed frameworks
Manage and review external investment managers and partners, providing appropriate challenge and insight
Oversee custodian and platform relationships, ensuring operational effectiveness and integrity
Work closely with Lifetime’s adviser network to understand client needs, advice challenges, and distribution insights
Translate adviser and client feedback into practical enhancements to the DIMs offering
Support adviser capability through guidance, training, and the Lifetime Academy
Contribute to broader investment capability across Lifetime, including KiwiSaver and retail investment solutions
