New Shoots Kerikeri is a stunning centre, from the moment you walk in the door you feel a sense of fun, pride, and belonging. We are currently looking for Full-Time permanent position for either a qualified or unqualified kaiako. The main thing we want to see in our next kaiako is passion and experience.
You will have pride in your practice, from an unhurried and respectful viewpoint, strong kaupapa Māori knowledge and a passion for nature‑based learning. Committed to creating meaningful, hands‑on indoor and outdoor experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world.
Proficient in developing and implementing documentation with clear links to Te Whāriki, whānau aspirations, and each child's cultural identity, ensuring learning is intentional, inclusive, and responsive. Skilled in capturing children's learning journeys through documentation that reflects their voice, culture, and values.
In addition, you will also be confident in contributing to internal evaluation processes, using reflection and evidence to strengthen programme delivery. Dedicated to providing a nurturing, culturally grounded environment where tamariki are empowered to explore, lead, and thrive in both the natural and centre environments.
