Senior Academic Administrator - College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Location: Manawatū

Salary Range: $60,069 - $84,876 per annum (based on skills and experience) - Grade 5


Are you flexible, focused on the detail, capable of working without supervision and able to manage multiple projects at the same time? We are seeking a Senior Academic Administrator to provide comprehensive and high quality administrative support across the College.


In this role, you'll be part of our Academic Administration Team, supporting managers, staff, and students while ensuring smooth operations across a variety of functions.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing confidential support to a specified Head of Academic Unit, including diary management and HR administration.
  • Providing general administrative support to an Academic Unit.
  • Supporting key College academic committees as required.
  • Organisation of school and College-led events, including, but not limited to, catering, room bookings and set-up.
  • Providing cover for team members at busy times and in cases of absence.


About you

You will bring relevant work experience, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to adjust to rapid change and the initiative to anticipate and respond to common needs and problems. Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office 365 are preferred.
