Northern Region Football (NRF) is the regional governing body for association football and futsal from Cape Reinga to the Bombay Hills in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role:

We are seeking a focused and enthusiastic team member who will be heavily involved in delivering key club support projects. These projects aim to improve the capability and organisational health of Auckland and Northland football clubs, so they can navigate their complex environments more effectively.

Our offices are based in Albany, however this position is mobile with flexible, remote working.

As part of NRF’s Thriving Club Communities strategic outcome, the Club Support Officer will spend time and energy working alongside clubs, and will be involved in, but not limited, to delivering these initiatives:

  • NRF’s Health of the Club Network – working alongside member clubs in a Northern Region Football-led program, supporting them to measurably improve performance in areas including governance, financials, membership, volunteers and risk management.
  • Facilities - working with clubs and Council to best utilize and navigate assets and allocations.
  • Safeguarding – delivering on a national Safeguarding approach (2025-2028) increasing the number of Safeguarding officers in our member club network and supporting clubs with policy building & education.
  • Innovative Support – developing and implementing support to mitigate administrative club challenges.
  • Cross organisational Programs of Work – supporting internal staff with a variety of cross organisational Programs of Work and Projects.

  • The legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Current Class 1 driving-license
  • Highly beneficial, but not essential: Tertiary qualification in sport or community development
