If you are an experienced Executive Assistant we have an exciting opportunity for you at the senior executive level – it provides efficient, professional executive and administrative support to the Director-General GCSB and Office.

This is a role with variety! You’ll work closely with staff in the Office of the Director-General to facilitate flow and distribution of information and provide advanced diary management to support the Director-General in achieving their operational and strategic priorities.

About you:

We need someone with:

  • Experience in the public sector
  • An understanding of the machinery of Government
  • The ability to effectively operate in a confidential and secure environment.

Your commitment to providing high levels of professional executive and administrative support and the ability to establish and maintain great working relationships across a range of stakeholders is essential. You’ll also demonstrate good judgment and expert planning and organisational skills to manage strict deadlines and conflicting priorities.

Appointing range: $73,684 -  $78,596.

Before you apply

Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.

You must:

  • Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years

OR

Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years

  • Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
    • Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
