Experienced Pastry Baker

Sydenham Bakery Limited is a well established bakery which is situated in Sydenham, Christchurch. We pride ourselves in producing a wide range of quality products from top quality ingredients.

We are looking to employ an Experienced Pastry Baker at our Colombo Street premises from 3.00 am to 11.30 am - Monday to Friday (40 hours). The hours may vary occasionally to assist with staffing requirements and also extra work may be available from time to time.  You may also be required to fill in on a Saturday if our Baker is absent for any reason.  This may be at short notice.

The position focuses on producing pastry products ie. pies, savouries, sausage rolls etc. and other baking duties as required. This role also includes rotation of stock and availability of same. End of day duties may include steam cleaning the dishwasher area to a required standard and various cleaning of the bakery. At leave five years experience in a position of this nature will be required however relevant training will be given to suit our bakery. You must be able to consistently produce products to a high standard.

The right person for the position will use initiative and possess exceptional eye for detail, work well under pressure and have great time management skills, fit in with our other staff members, be approachable, reliable and have lots of energy and passion.
