We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Power and Communication Services team in Dunedin, where you’ll deliver essential electrical distribution projects and maintenance works for our key clients. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership from planning through to delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specification. You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to deliver a seamless, professional service and build strong, long-term relationships.

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
Essential:

  • Full Class 1 New Zealand driver’s licence or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years project management experience in the Electrical Distribution Industry (or relevant qualification).
  • Knowledge of pricing and estimating.
  • Commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Application and knowledge of Electrical Network Design Standards.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience managing engineering projects to meet time, quality, and budget targets as well as customer expectations.
  • Budget preparation and management skills.
  • Risk management knowledge and experience.
Desirable:
  • Project management qualification (PMI, PRINCE2 or similar).
  • Engineering qualification as an Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Technician, Electrical Engineer, or appropriate equivalent.
  • Electrical Registration as an Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Technician, Electrical Engineer, or appropriate equivalent.
  • Experience managing staff and resources.
  • Knowledge and experience in standard forms of contract, e.g., NZS3910, FIDIC, et al.
  • Experience as Designer/Project Manager (in the Electrical Distribution industry).
