About the Role

At DB Breweries, we don't just brew beer - we craft experiences. We're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Packaging Technician to join our crew and help ensure our iconic beer, cider, and RTDs roll off the line in top-notch form.This is a hands-on role at the heart of our Packaging team - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

This role operates on a 40-hour rotating shift pattern:

  • 06:00-14:00
  • 14:00-22:00
  • 22:00-06:00

What you'll be doing:

  • Operate, maintain and improve packaging machinery to meet production targets.
  • Ensure products are packaged to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Play an active role in our TPM Continuous Improvement Programme, using tools like Lean, 5S and Kaizen to eliminate losses and lift performance.
  • Complete reactive, planned and predictive maintenance tasks (on time, every time).
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance and inventory teams to keep things flowing.
  • Create and follow Standard Operating Procedures, contribute to training, and keep our systems up to date.
  • Be flexible and adaptable - jumping into multiple zones or tech areas as needed.

What you'll bring:

  • A mechanical or electrical trade qualification (NZCE, Advanced Trade Cert, or similar).
  • 3-5 years' experience in packaging or maintenance in brewing, FMCG or food/beverage industries.
  • Solid understanding of CMMS systems and continuous improvement practices.
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a real team-first attitude.
  • A drive to learn, improve and share knowledge with others.
  • Applicants must have full-time work rights in New Zealand.
