Mechanical Service Technician
The Role
At Forest Quip we are committed to exceeding our client’s expectations and due to continued business growth, we are now looking for an additional team member to help with machine delivery, service and repair. This role involves some nationwide travel; as a guide you could expect around 20 nights per year away from home. While travel is most often to tend to machinery, you would also attend the National Field Days or similar local events as a Forest Quip representative. Working closely with the owners of the business full training will be provided.
Our Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you need not have any formal mechanical qualification but you will have a passion for heavy machinery and sound mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability gained through previous experience in heavy machine operation and/or working with hydraulics in a similar industry.
You will be a positive, flexible and highly motivated person with excellent planning and problem- solving skills including the ability to work independently. You won’t be afraid to lend a hand around the yard or in the warehouse as required and you will demonstrate safe work practices.
If you also have the following attributes, you will soar to the top of our list –
· Strong customer service skills, and personal presentation
· Heavy Traffic License
· Sound written communication skills including basic computer literacy
· Punctual and reliable, with a genuine can-do mindset and a desire to help people
This role is 40 hours per week (8am – 5pm Monday to Friday). A vehicle is provided for work use, along with laptop and mobile phone.
