Traffic Signs is a market leader in road safety and road sign products for the New Zealand market. With manufacturing plants operating in Mt Maunganui and Christchurch, the business is a national leading brand.
We are customer focused, serving a wide range of clients and operate within a deadline driven production environment.
We are now looking for someone to assist with the planning of the day-to-day logistics of our electronics department ensuring full assistance and back up to the Operations Manager with regards to electronics, service, repair and hire plus assistance with other administration tasks as required.
Electronic Service and Repairs
Assist the Operations Manager with scheduling of jobs and daily tasks, focusing on customer support to meet/exceed KPI service times.
Assist the Operations Manager with quotes for electronics parts and warranty repairs.
Assist with customer communications for all electronic repairs – via phone and email.
Provide customers with technical support via phone and email.
Run a daily job tracker for progress and completion
Manage the monthly repairs and upgrades database for any repairs, warranty claims.
Manage any spare parts under warranty with the supplier and arrange replacements
Provide the TSNZ Technician with daily jobs and ensure they are aware of their set tasks and objectives
Carry out any software and/or parts repairs on site and off site as required.
Hire
Assist with the TSNZ Hire fleet, arrange drop offs and pickups and advise on availabilities
Ensure all hire documentation is completed with a thorough ‘In’ & ‘Out’ process that identifies any damage, clean and tidy and has sign-off on both areas
Plan and oversee any repairs and maintenance to the hire fleet and fleets presentation.
Oversee new hire products set-up and commissioning and any communication set up for modems etc.
New Products and Products Inventory Management
Liaise with suppliers on lead times, and arranging shipping
Assist with stock takes and end of month processes
Assist in the design and set up of product literature
We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:
Strong problem-solving skills, organisational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Practical hands-on skills for repairs and maintenance – electronics, electrical, solar, batteries, tablet technology, routers, cloud software, etc.
Flexibility/adaptability
Self-motivation

Aptitude for identifying opportunities for improving performance
Computer skills
