What You'll Do:
Lead the daily newsroom operations and editorial planning, ensuring our coverage is world class, creative, lively and aligned with Stuff’s strategy.
Champion innovation in storytelling by embracing emerging technologies, multimedia formats, and AI-assisted tools to support great journalism.
Coordinate across editorial teams to ensure we produce compelling stories that engage audiences across a range of platforms.
Inspire and develop a talented newsroom team, modelling high editorial standards, integrity, and collaboration.
Work hard and work fast. You’ll be a world class news leader who helps make Stuff the very best it can be every single day.
Build strong connections with communities, sources, and industry peers, representing Stuff at events and initiatives.
Who You Are:
An experienced senior newsroom leader with outstanding editorial judgement and a track record of leading digital newsrooms.
Skilled in digital-first storytelling, cross-platform journalism, and audience engagement strategies.
Confident in commissioning multimedia content and integrating AI and data tools into workflows responsibly.
Adept at navigating fast-paced breaking news environments while maintaining high standards of accuracy, ethics, and editorial quality.
A collaborative, inspiring leader who thrives on innovation, change, and delivering results.
