I’m currently working with a well-established Tier 1 main contractor who are known for delivering large commercial projects across New Zealand. They’ve built a strong reputation in the industry and pride themselves on providing a good team culture where people tend to stay long term, with plenty of support and opportunity.
They’re now looking for a Building Services Specialist/Coordinator to join the team in Auckland and support the delivery of some significant upcoming projects.
This role will see you coordinating building services packages across the project, working closely with the site and project teams to ensure everything runs smoothly from installation through to commissioning and handover.
You’ll be involved in areas such as electrical/mechanical, hydraulics, security, comms, BMS and Fire Systems amongst others, while also helping coordinate related elements like passive fire and seismic requirements.

- Coordinating subcontractors and services trades to keep works on programme
- Managing shop drawings, technical submissions, and approvals
- Running services coordination meetings with consultants and subcontractors
- Identifying clashes between services and other trades
- Supporting commissioning planning and project handover
- Tracking inspections, compliance documentation, and producer statements
What they’re looking for:
- Around 3+ years’ experience in building services coordination or a relevant trade background
- Good understanding of building services within commercial construction
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- You’ll need to be eligible to work in New Zealand.
