Sales Representative

Tyson Roofing is a growing New Zealand Colorsteel roofing product manufacturer supplying high-quality roofing sheets, flashings, and roofing accessories to the construction industry. We work closely with builders, roofers, and various contractors to deliver reliable products and fast service.

We are looking for a highly driven Sales Representative with strong industry connections to expand our presence in the market and grow product sales.


The Role

This role focuses primarily on selling flashings and roofing accessories, while also developing opportunities for our manufactured roofing sheet products.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, roofing contractors, and construction professionals, identifying opportunities, and converting them into consistent sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, generate and manage sales of roofing flashings and accessories

  • Identify, generate and manage sales of wholesale roofing sheet supply

  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, roofers, and large supply groups like Carters, ITM, Placemakers etc.

  • Use your existing network to generate new business opportunities

  • Maintain strong communication with customers and internal production

  • Consistently pursue new leads and grow Tyson Roofing’s market share


Commission structure & base remuneration:

  • Base remuneration and benefits: $80,000.00/annual + vehicle & fuel + phone + laptop.

Additionally, this role includes a performance-based commission structure:

  • Flashings & accessories commission:

    • 2% commission on sales driven by you, paid monthly


  • Roofing material commission:

    • Commission calculated based on total annual profit generated

    • Paid as a lump sum before Christmas each year


About You

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience within the construction industry in previous sales roles (roofing industry experience highly beneficial but not ultimately essential, however pre-existing knowledge of materials and products is essential)

  • A strong existing network of builders, contractors, and industry contacts

  • Highly motivated and results-driven

  • Confident building relationships and closing deals

  • Self-managed with a strong work ethic and autonomy

  • Comfortable working in a performance-based sales environment
