We’re looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor – Catering to lead and support our catering team at MoE, Mt Maunganui. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations across front‑ and back‑of‑house, ensuring high-quality food production and service delivery. You’ll help maintain safety, consistency, and a great customer experience while guiding and developing the team. This is a Permanent Full Time position during education terms.

👩‍🍳 Ko ō kawenga | Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly to requests, replenishing supplies, and managing customer concerns professionally.
  • Oversee staff during shifts—allocating tasks, coaching team members, supporting food preparation, and assisting with roster coordination.
  • Communicate effectively, follow procedures, and maintain strong presentation and professionalism across all service areas.
  • Ensure all company policies and food safety practices are followed, including hygiene, temperature monitoring, and cleaning schedules.
  • Support team coverage by stepping into operational roles when required, including covering leave or absences.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring:

  • Experience in a similar catering or hospitality supervisory role, with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to take initiative.
  • A professional, reliable, and hardworking approach, with excellent personal presentation.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of a busy service environment, plus a full, clean driver’s licence.
  • A commitment to safe food handling, hygiene standards, and completing required training. Police clearance will be required.
