The Role
This is a broad and varied role, providing financial analysis and management for single and/or multi-asset property funds across NZ and Australia. The key focus of the Finance Analyst is to business partner, acting as a strategic partner to provide financial support and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partnering providing financial insight and analysis to support decision making
- Preparing management accounts and board reporting
- Preparing annual budgets and variance analysis against actual results
- Regular review and updating of cash flows to offer financial insight
- Assisting Asset Managers with annual strategic reviews
- Scenario analysis, modelling financial implications of alternative scenarios including financial stress testing including feasibilities of acquisitions and divestments
- Supporting fund accountants in preparation of annual reports and financial statements
- Treasury management including cash monitoring, negotiating refinancing or new loan deals with banks and preparing hedging strategies
- Attending investor meetings
- CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualified
- 5+ years of experience including modelling and financial analysis
- Property and/or funds management experience extremely desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to business partner and relay information to non-financial stakeholders
- High attention to detail
- Ambitious
