CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

Location: Management Support Office of Tamaki Health at Ellerslie, Auckland

Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially and strategically minded Corporate Development Manager to play a key role in Tāmaki Health's growth initiatives. This role will drive mergers and acquisitions, strategic projects, investment programmes and broader commercial initiatives, providing robust financial analysis, commercial evaluation, and implementation/integration planning.

You will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Board, and operational leaders to identify opportunities, evaluate potential investments, and support the execution of strategic growth initiatives that enhance organisational performance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of the organisation's M&A and inorganic growth programme.
  • Conduct due diligence, financial modelling, and analysis for acquisitions and strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare high-quality investment recommendations and business cases for Board and executive decision-making.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including project management of vendors and advisors.
  • Support integration planning to ensure seamless operational and clinical adoption post-acquisition.
  • Analyse commercial, pricing, and market opportunities to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and data insights to support ongoing corporate development.
  • Contribute to ad hoc strategic, commercial, and operational projects as required.

About You

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree; CA or CFA qualified.
  • Proven experience (4-5+ years) in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategy roles.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and analytical acumen.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a structured, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • High initiative, confidentiality, and professional standards.
