This role is based in New Zealand with an Australian-based company, supporting managed services customers across both New Zealand and Australia. The successful candidate will be required to commence work at 6:00 AM NZT to align with service coverage requirements across both regions.

What you'll do

•        Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records relating to network infrastructure solutions in service desk environments.

•        Provide escalated (Level 2/3) technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving complex networking issues across managed customer environments

•        Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and remediation of technical issues relating to networking equipment, connectivity, and services.

•        Deliver network support and project work across multiple customer environments within a Managed Services framework.

•        Act as a technical liaison between customers, vendors, and carriers to coordinate and resolve high-level networking issues.

•        Respond to and manage service desk incidents, requests, and alerts relating to customer networking environments in line with agreed SLAs.

•        Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents including routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and connectivity issues.

•        Participate in proactive monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of customer network infrastructure.

•        Work collaboratively within the Managed Services team while also being able to operate independently when required.

•        Provide on-site customer support when required for project delivery, escalations, or managed services engagements

What you'll bring (must-haves)

•        Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or Systems Integrator environment

•        Strong experience and specialist skills in the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of networking, security, and communications infrastructure, with the ability to support a range of technologies.

•        Demonstrated expertise with router and switch hardware/software, including strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EIGRP. Experience with Cisco technologies including Cisco DNA, ACI, ISE, and TACACS, along with strong experience in Quality of Service (QoS) and firewall technologies.

•        At least 2 years’ hands-on experience with HPE Aruba Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions.

•        Minimum 2 years’ experience working with HPE Aruba wireless networking technologies

•        Proven experience (minimum 2 years) configuring and supporting Palo Alto firewall platforms

•        Minimum 2 years’ experience deploying and managing Cisco Catalyst switching environments.

•        AASP – Accredited SD-WAN Professional certification or equivalent certification is desirable.
