Permanent and Casual Clinical Support Specialists

We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive Health Professionals or postgraduate students with experience in health care (e.g. Social workers, Physiotherapists, OTs, RNs, Psychotherapists, Counsellors). Candidates should have knowledge of, or experience with, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), complex PTSD, or similar conditions—ideally in a community setting. Full-time, part-time, and fixed casual roles are available after an initial paid orientation.

 Above-average pay reflects the complexity of this role and the clinical skills required to support our client in leading a meaningful, active life. Rates: $55–$73 per hour.


A strong understanding of TBI and Complex PTSD, and their impact on daily functioning, is essential. The role involves supporting our client with all activities of daily living at home. She is mobile, socially active, and engaged in community and volunteer activities.


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to broaden or diversify their experience. You will be part of a team providing 24-hour support and care to our client with minimal admin and no report writing.


We are looking for someone kind, calm under pressure, comfortable around dogs and who demonstrates sound judgment and common sense. You must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.


This role involves 13-hour shifts including both day and night awake shifts, covering weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required. Therefore, the successful candidate must be willing to work outside standard weekday hours. Flexibility is essential. The role is located in a southern suburb of Auckland.


The successful candidate:

·     Applicant must be a qualified Health Professional or post graduate student with health experience (such as OT, Social worker, Physiotherapist, RN, Psychotherapist, Counsellor). Some experience with TBI and/or trauma/PTSD is required. Community experience will be an advantage.

·     A friendly, professional manner with a kind, caring and gentle approach is essential.

·     We require reliable people with excellent organisational skills who can manage time and routines well. They must demonstrate initiative, excellent critical thinking and common-sense.

·     Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

·     You must be able to work as part of a dynamic team, independently and with an ability to work in a complex and changing environment.

·     A moderate level of fitness is required.

·     You must be 25 years of age and above with a full clean driver licence, as you will be driving the client’s car.

·     You must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (Health Professionals registered overseas but who have not yet gained NZ registration will be considered)

Full training and a comprehensive induction and orientation package will be provided to the successful candidate. We are also keen to hear from post graduate students who want to develop in this area as additional training is provided.
