Mō te tūnga | About the role
IDEA Services provides forensic rehabilitation services for people with high and complex needs who have had contact with the justice system. Our team works alongside people to support positive change, build life skills, and strengthen connections with their whānau and community.
We’re looking for Support Workers with the strength, patience, and heart to step up and be a positive role model. You’ll support people as they work toward change, building trust and encouraging independence. This is an active role where you’ll spend time in the community supporting people to do the things that matter to them — swimming, fishing, playing sport, or spending time with whānau.
Part of the role will involve monitoring behaviour and maintaining safety. Dealing with challenging behaviour can be tough, but with the right approach, we can make a difference, promote positive behaviours, and create a supportive environment for people to thrive. This isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to be a steady presence, a role model, and a source of encouragement when it’s needed most.
