Information Security Consultant

Are you an experienced Information Security professional ready to influence security outcomes at scale? We're seeking a Security Consultant to provide expert guidance on secure solution delivery across a large, complex environment undergoing ongoing transformation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who blends strong interpersonal skills with deep technical security expertise and enjoys partnering with Architecture, Engineering, and Delivery teams to lift security maturity across the organisation.

About the Role

As a Security Consultant, you'll play a key role in ensuring solutions are designed and delivered securely. You'll advise on control selection, contribute to solution design, support assurance activities, and help embed security within modern delivery practices.

You'll also provide escalation support for complex security incidents, work closely with Security Operations, and contribute to the organisation's broader security strategy and roadmap.

In this role, you will:

• Advise on secure solution design and control selection
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security controls and monitoring requirements
• Support risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
• Contribute to architecture reviews and security assurance activities
• Provide expert guidance for complex incidents and change requests
• Support ongoing uplift of security practices, strategy, and modernisation initiatives

About You

You combine thought leadership with strong relationship‑building skills. You're confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels, translating complex security topics into practical, actionable advice.

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years' experience in Information Security, including 5+ years in design or consulting roles within complex environments
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Computer Science, IT, or relevant experience
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of secure architecture, design practices, and modern delivery (Agile)
• Ability to stay current with emerging threats, AI services, and evolving technologies
