Sport Bay of Plenty is seeking a fixed term full time (until May 2027) Community Sport Advisor to cover a staff member going on parental leave.
This role will provide leadership, advice and guidance to enhance the quality and delivery of sport within the Western Bay area. Reporting to the Spaces and Places Team Leader, you will be responsible for working closely with clubs, councils and sporting organisations to support the capability and sustainability of the regions sporting environment.
Experience and knowledge of the sport and recreation sector is preferred as is knowledge of Council processes, but not essential. Exceptional communication skills are required and the ability to build effective working relationships and partnerships with sporting organisations, councils, volunteers and the wider community.
