Experienced Structural Fabricator Wanted!

Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled Structural Fabricator with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of structural steel components, including beams, columns, frames, platforms, supports, and associated assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and weld structural steel components to engineering drawings and specifications

• Read and interpret 2D fabrication drawings, shop details, and general arrangement drawings

• Cut, prepare, fit, and weld steel sections, plates, and assemblies

• Carry out MIG, FCAW and/or stick welding to required standards

• Assemble and fit structural steel components prior to welding

• Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and dimensional accuracy

• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines

You will need:

• 7+ years experience as a Structural Fabricator (or similar industrial fabrication role)

• Trade qualification

• Strong ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings

• Proven experience welding structural steel (plates, beams, RHS, SHS, etc.)

• Good understanding of welding procedures and quality requirements

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to health & safety, quality, and productivity

• Ability to work in a workshop and on site as required

• A full NZ Driver’s License
