Service Desk Analyst - Hamilton

We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join our team in Hamilton.
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position and is effectively responsible for the delivery of Service Desk services to our clients and is responsible for reviewing and improving our service delivery and practices.
What you'll do for us
Provides front line customer interfacing technical expertise and the focus is on support of the end-user compute environment (end-user workspace, application, entry level IS Layer management, Infrastructure and Network troubleshooting) to manage and escalate issues through to resolution.
Support the ServiceDesk, in their approach to delivery of services. Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
Lead and help resolve escalated issues, and problem cases.
Accurate and timely logging of activity.
What you'll bring in your Kit bag
Minimum of 2 years in customer service interfacing roles
Previous experience in a Service Desk Analyst
ITIL Certification or equivalent
Problem analysis and resolution of faults at first point of contact, whenever possible
Regular communication with stakeholders regarding progress and any changes to anticipated resolution time.
Performing troubleshooting of device hardware/software network connectivity issues remotely
Providing first level technical troubleshooting
Escalation of problems that are not able to be resolved at first level
Documentation and effective distribution of information
User Management – account management functions incl MAC’s
Detailed knowledge of Computing architecture at hardware and operating system level
However, soft-skills and a willingness to learn are more important.
