Part-time Support Workers
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate support worker to assist a tetraplegic woman with childcare, household tasks, and accessing the community. This is a part-time role with a rotating 6-week schedule.
Family is extremely important to her, so it is essential that the support worker understands her values and the importance of supporting her children in a positive and respectful way.
As she leads a busy life balancing work and her children’s extracurricular activities, we are looking for someone who is:
Proactive and organised
Adaptable to changing daily needs
Comfortable supporting both parenting and household routines
Able to integrate naturally into the household without being intrusive or overbearing
This role would suit someone who enjoys supporting families, is flexible, and can confidently assist with day-to-day activities while respecting the independence and routines of the household.
The ideal candidate Must:
Be available to work some weekends
Have a full driver's license and own transport (essential)
Be eligible to work in New Zealand with no restrictions (essential)
Willing to travel and drive mobility vehicles
