Our client is looking for a BAS Accountant to join their fast-growing Christchurch practice. This is more than just a compliance role - you'll work directly with clients, offering tailored advice and helping them grow their businesses.

You'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, people-first environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for a broad client base

• Assisting with business advisory projects including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting

• Providing tax planning advice and compliance support

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Working closely with senior accountants and partners to deliver value-added services

About You:

• 2+ years' experience in a public practice accounting firm (NZ experience essential)

• Working towards or fully qualified CA/CPA

• Solid understanding of NZ tax and compliance requirements

• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based accounting software

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

• Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow your career
