This role provides project administration support to Safe Power Services and its customers by coordinating and collating the required information to schedule jobs for the field team.

Safe Power Services Limited has been owned and operated by electrical inspectors for almost 30 years. We have an exceptionally high level of industry knowledge and technical understanding of network connections.
With decades of experience on both the Orion and MainPower networks as connection agents and electrical contractors, our team bridges the gap between electrical installation and the electricity distribution business to keep Canterbury connected, from Rakaia to Kaikoura.
Safe Power Services specialise in a wide range of services, including:
Permanent connections
Isolations and reinstatements
High-risk electrical inspections
Revenue metering
Decommissions
Overhead to underground conversions
Connection/network alterations
Temporary power supplies
Service installations
Job requirements:
Project administration and coordination - collating job information and paperwork, setting up and managing jobs within our internal database and network websites, and scheduling for the field team via Outlook
Finance administration – interpret job results from the field to ensure all costs are captured, drafting invoices in Xero
Documentation management, record keeping, data entry
Inbox and calendar management (across multiple accounts)
Provide detailed responses and estimates to customer queries
General administration and office duties - meter/stock orders, internal building/office audits
Point of contact for incoming phone calls and meeting/greeting any visitors to the Safe Power Services office
Attend quarterly health and safety meetings and provide minute-taking

Mandatory requirements for all applicants include:
Being a New Zealand citizen – note that you must currently reside in New Zealand to apply for this role
A minimum of at least five years of administration experience
Advanced-expert level within MS Office programmes
Holding a New Zealand full and clean driver’s license
This role is for someone unafraid of repetition, who can wrangle a calendar like a pro and enjoys managing deadlines and multiple requests. Work days/hours are negotiable.
