Clinical Dental Technician
Clinical Dental Technician
Company: The Denture Studio
Location: Hamilton, Waikato (with regular satellite clinic travel)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
The Denture Studio is a Hamilton-based denture clinic and dental laboratory looking for a skilled and motivated Clinical Dental Technician to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines patient-facing clinical work at satellite clinics with technical laboratory work at our Hamilton base.
If you enjoy working directly with patients as well as in the lab, and you're comfortable being on the road a couple of days a week, this could be a great fit.
What the Role Looks Like
This is a split-week position structured around our main Hamilton laboratory and two regional satellite clinics:
Monday: Huntly Satellite clinic — CDT work with patients (~30 min drive from Hamilton)
Tuesday – Thursday: Hamilton Main laboratory — dental technician work
Friday: Tokoroa Satellite clinic — CDT work with patients (~1 hr 10 min drive from Hamilton)
Travel time is counted as paid working hours. All driving to and from satellite clinics is included in your work day.
Future Growth
As the business grows, satellite clinic visits may increase to 4 or more sessions per week. Should this occur, the role may transition to include travelling on-site working arrangements based at the relevant regional locations.

Registered Clinical Dental Technician — current registration with the New Zealand Dental Council is required
2+ years of experience as a Clinical Dental Technician is preferred
Full New Zealand Driver's Licence — essential, as regular regional travel is a core part of this role
Legal right to work in New Zealand — you must hold a valid visa or entitlement to work in NZ at the time of application
What We Offer
$75,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on experience
Company vehicle and fuel provided for all satellite clinic travel
All travel time to and from satellite clinics is counted as paid working hours
A diverse role combining clinical patient care and hands-on laboratory work
