About the role

Reporting to Director Global Markets you will support the monitoring and management of risks arising from the Bank’s global markets activities and help ensure compliance with Head Office requirements and regulatory expectations.

Working closely with the front office and internal stakeholders, you will assist with monitoring trading limits, preparing risk reports, and supporting risk management processes across the Global Markets business.

This is a 10-month fixed term role.

Key responsibilities

·       Monitor global markets risk exposures and trading limits daily to ensure compliance with internal policies, Head Office requirements, and regulatory expectations.

·       Identify and escalate potential limit breaches or emerging risks, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of market developments that may impact the business.

·       Prepare regular risk monitoring reports, statistics, and analysis for Head Office, senior management, and relevant internal stakeholders.

·       Support the development and maintenance of risk policies, procedures, and process documentation to ensure effective risk governance.

·       Assist with trade verification, system testing, and monitoring to ensure accurate booking and compliance with approved limits.

·       Provide risk input and support for new products, regulatory reporting, and internal or external audit requirements.

About you

·       2+ years’ experience in banking or financial services, ideally in risk, treasury, or markets-related roles

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, economics, or a related field

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

·       A good understanding of financial markets and risk concepts

·       Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

·       Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

·       Mandarin language capability is essential
