About the role
As an Electrical Tester, you’ll be hands‑on in building and testing the electrical systems that power our air handling units. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams, ensuring every unit meets our safety and quality standards. This role offers plenty of variety from assembling control boxes to carrying out testing, troubleshooting issues, and supporting trainees, making it a great opportunity to grow your technical skills in a supportive, fast‑moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standardise wiring schematics, colour coding, cable sizing, and electrical standards.
  • Authorise wiring diagrams and maintain electronic records of completed products.
  • Carry out occasional on site installation and testing work locally and nationwide.
  • Train and supervise Trainee Limited Certificate holders.
  • Assemble and wire control boxes and complete unit wiring to approved schematics.
  • Carry out inspections and testing, including continuity, insulation, earth leakage, and running current checks.
  • Assist with equipment installation, modification, and breakdown troubleshooting.
  • Test and tag electrical power cables as required.
  • Support general assembly work when requested.
  • Raise quality issues and sign off completed units.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and hazard reporting.
     

What you will bring to the role

  • Electrical Service Technician Practising Licence.
  • Electrical Engineering qualification or similar
  • 3+ years of electrical assembly experience.
  • Understanding of air conditioning processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a reliable, proactive approach.
