Mainland Vector Contracting Ltd delivers plant and animal pest control, conservation, and land management projects across the South Island. We’re seeking motivated Silviculture Planters to work in remote and rugged sites as part of our environmental field crews.

What the role involves

• Planting exotic seedlings (some to specified spacing and stocking standards

• Working across remote, steep, and varied terrain

• Maintaining high planting quality and productivity

• Following site maps, supervisor instructions, and health & safety procedures

• Working as part of a professional, safety-focused crew

Other potential opportunities

• Thinning

• Release Spraying

• Wilding conifer control

What we’re looking for

• Physically fit, reliable, and motivated

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Able to work in uneven or rough terrain

• Forestry or planting experience is an advantage but not essential
