The Role

We are seeking a Greenkeepers Assistant/Labourer to assist with tasks specific to golf course & landscape establishment. Your primary role will be to support the Golf Course Superintendent and Greenkeeping team with course maintenance activities, ensuring our two 18-hole golf courses are renowned as world class and delivers an exceptional golfing guest experience.

This role will include labouring tasks such as loading and unloading tools and equipment, spreading, and levelling soil, carrying out minor repairs on equipment, digging holes and shovelling material on toros for removal. This role requires being able to positively work outdoors with varying hours to accommodate the nature of golf course construction and maintenance activities. The role requires a reasonable level of fitness to maintain efficiency. We focus on being a part of a collaborative team, with a strong focus on excellence.

Success Profile

• 18 months of agronomy or landscaping experience is essential

• Previous golf tournament experience is essential due to hosting the NZ Open annually

• Ability to operate small plant machinery desirable

• Full clean NZ Drivers Licence is desirable

• Capability to work outside standard working hours to suit the nature of this role

• Excellent work ethic, and must be physically fit to carry-out manual handling tasks

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be physically fit to carry out manual handling duties

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Hours: Full time permanent (30 / 40 hours per week guaranteed)

Pay Banding: $27.00 - $29.00 gross per hour
