We provide full training to all our instructors. We hire people with great communication skills and a positive can-do attitude who have a love of helping others succeed. Then we train them to become the best swimming instructors possible.
We are currently looking to train Instructors to teach our Infant and Learn to Swim classes. It is essential that you have a love of the water and enjoy interacting with children.
Infant Instructor
Our Infant swimmers are in the water with a parent or caregiver and range in age from 3 months to 3 years. This is an incredibly rewarding and fun position. As an Infant Instructor you will be passionate about teaching water confidence and safety and comfortable working with babies, toddlers and young children.
Learn to Swim Instructor
As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will be teaching preschool and school-aged children the basics of swimming and water safety. You don’t need to be an elite swimmer to teach the Learn to Swim programme - you just need a passion for helping the next generation of New Zealanders grow up capable and confident in the water.
Hours of work:
We have a variety of shifts available on weekday afternoons 3:15pm - 6:15pm and Sunday mornings 7:45am - 12:45pm. Successful applicants will be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months.
