Excavator Operator (Otago)

We're looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Queenstown Civil team. This is a great opportunity to be part of regional projects that help shape the local community.

What you'll be doing

• Operating excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction sites

• Carrying out deep excavations for foundations, services, and structures

• Working on drainage installation (stormwater, wastewater, and other services)

• Assisting with trenching, backfilling, and site preparation

• Supporting the team to deliver earthworks and pavement projects on time, to spec, and safely

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating excavators in heavy civil construction

• Strong skills in deep excavation 

• Competency with trench shoring, trench safety, and working around live services

• A current WTR endorsement (Class 2 or higher licence preferred)

• Commitment to health & safety and working as part of a team
