Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer
Spencer Holmes is seeking a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join our well-established Wellington consultancy and work on a wide range of land development projects across the region.
This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from feasibility through to construction, working alongside experienced engineers, planners and surveyors in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.

The Role
Due to continued demand for our services, we are seeking a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join our team.
You will work on a variety of residential and commercial land development projects, contributing across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
• Feasibility assessments and concept design
• Detailed design of civil infrastructure and three waters systems
• Liaison with councils and regulatory authorities
• Preparation of engineering calculations and technical documentation
• Construction monitoring and site inspections
• Project coordination and client liaison
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2+ years relevant civil engineering experience
• Ideally have CPEng or actively working towards CPEng
• Experience in residential or commercial land development projects
• Experience with three waters design and modelling (HEC-HMS or similar)
• Understanding of pavement design, earthworks and soil characteristics
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• A current clean NZ driver licence
