Deputy Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Project Manager to join our Christchurch team on a full-time basis to support the delivery of large-scale solar and BESS projects in New Zealand.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will help coordinate project tasks, monitor progress, and support stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on role offering mentorship and growth opportunities, ideal for a proactive project professional looking to develop into a senior project management role.

You will work with the project team, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.

• Track project progress, KPIs, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met on time and safely.

• Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, and resource allocation.

• Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

• Contribute to safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives on the project.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in renewable energy or similar EPC projects.

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.

• Experience supporting large-scale solar and/or BESS projects.

• Strong experience working with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and reporting systems.
