Production Line Operator
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our team at our busy facilities in Oamaru.

Milligans Food Group is a privately owned family business producing and packing a variety of food products including blocked, grated and sliced cheeses, Frosty Boy soft serve, award winning butters, batter mixes that go on your favourite take aways and much much more!

You will be responsible for running specific production lines / packing equipment in a variety of processing rooms, working closely with the Production Supervisor in organising the workflows for the day. Previous experience in food manufacturing would be advantageous however we are open to anyone looking for an opportunity to expand their current skillset further, those wanting a career change or looking to break into this industry.

Full time – Monday to Friday (no night shift or weekend work)

Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm

 The role includes:

·         Operating and monitoring production and packing equipment

·         Setting up and cleaning machinery

·         Working with the Production Supervisor to keep the line running smoothly

·         Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards

Food manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential — we are more interested in people who are practical, reliable and willing to learn.

 You should:

·         Be physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work

·         Be mechanically minded and practical

·         Work well independently or as part of a team

·         Take pride in cleanliness and food safety
