Sector Advisor - Learner Development (AKL, WLG or CHC)

ServiceIQ is looking for a Sector Advisor – Learner Engagement, (based from either the Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch office) to support apprentices and trainees across our sectors, helping them stay on track and complete their qualifications. This role focuses on first‑year learner support and retention, ensuring learners receive the guidance, pastoral care and training support they need to thrive.
What you’ll be doing
Providing regular check‑ins and support for apprentices and trainees
Working with employers to guide on‑job training and learner progress
Monitoring credit achievement, milestones and completion pathways
Identifying learning, literacy, cultural or pastoral needs and connecting learners with the right support
Building strong relationships with learners and our internal teams
Maintaining accurate CRM records, reporting and call cycles
Ensuring pastoral care and learner support obligations are met
What you’ll bring
Experience in customer service, education, training or relationship management
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
Excellent organisation and time‑management abilities
Confidence using systems and maintaining accurate records
Understanding of vocational education or industry training (advantageous)
You’ll bring cultural awareness and ability to identify trainees who may require additional support
