About us

Maygrove Village Hospital is a 50 bedded care facility for long term care clients we are an independent facility owned and operated by Hopper Developments based in Orewa. 

We have a positive, caring work environment.  You will be working alongside a team of other HCA's. Our focus is on providing an excellent quality care to our residents.

We are seeking 2 x Level 0-3 HCA who can do rostered and rotated shifts.

Qualifications & experience

• No experience necessary for Level 0 – training in house offered

• For Level 2-3 Ideally, you will have previous aged care experience, however, we are willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate

• Certification or experience needed for level 4 - training in-house offered

• You are expected to work well in a team and have excellent customer service skills and customer practices, uphold confidentiality and discretion, good command of oral and written English and good knowledge and understanding of the health care system. 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assist and support residents with the activities of daily living - toileting, eating, drinking etc.

• Provide personal cares to the residents.

• Communicating with the multi-disciplinary team.

• Ensure the ward is kept clean and tidy.

• Experience working in a fast pace environment.

• Adhere to the facilities policies & procedures at all time.

• Contributes to the development of a safe, positive, homely environment for the residents, staff & visitors.

• Housekeeping responsibilities including dining room duties & tending to tidiness of all areas as required.

• Participates in continuous quality improvement within the facility.

• Maintains excellent standards of work practice.

• This position is rostered Monday - Sunday, therefore you must be prepared to work all shifts this includes nights and weekends.
