Area Sales Manager - Compliance (Contract role till 31st Dec 2026)
About the Role
Diplomat New Zealand Limited is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Area Sales Manager – Compliance, to support our field operations across Auckland. This is a full-time Contract role (till 31st Dec 2026) based in Auckland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on retail environment, enjoys building strong store relationships, and is passionate about delivering high standards of execution and compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators
Call Coverage
Complete structured store visits in line with call cycles and quarterly banner priorities
Display Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to merchandising guidelines including planograms, relays, and discretionary displays
Stock & Shelf Availability
Maintain optimal stock levels and strong on-shelf presence
Proactively identify and escalate out-of-stock issues
In-Store Execution Quality
Execute promotional programmes with precision
Ensure displays, product range, and store presentation meet required standards
Reporting & Insights
Accurately complete scorecards and banner reports on time
Provide actionable insights on store execution and competitor activity
Customer Interaction
Build and maintain strong relationships with store buyers and managers
Support compliance initiatives through effective communication and collaboration
Issue Resolution
Identify and escalate merchandising, compliance, and stock issues promptly
Sales Uplift (Store-Specific)
Support initiatives that drive measurable sales growth within assigned stores
What We’re Looking For
Experience in field sales, merchandising, or retail operations
Strong understanding of in-store execution and compliance standards
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
