Security Officer – Mobile Patrol (Wellington)

Our Wellington branch is currently seeking Security Officers to join our Mobile Patrol team, with full-time, part-time, and casual opportunities available across the Wellington region.

About the Role

As a Mobile Patrol Security Officer, you will help protect client sites across the Wellington region through scheduled patrols and alarm response. Every shift is different. You may be:

·       Conducting mobile patrols of commercial and residential sites

·       Responding to alarms and security incidents

·       Checking buildings and securing premises

·       Monitoring suspicious activity and preventing damage or theft

·       Engaging with members of the public when required

·       Completing accurate incident and patrol reports

·       Supporting additional security duties when required

Patrol officers work independently across the city, staying alert and making real-time decisions to ensure client sites remain safe throughout the night.

Our patrol teams operate across the wider Wellington region including Wellington City, Porirua, the Hutt Valley and Kapiti. Wherever possible we aim to deploy officers in areas close to where they live, giving you the opportunity to help safeguard the communities you know best.

The Role 

·       Mobile patrol duties across Wellington

·       Shift work including nights and weekends

·       Patrol vehicle operation (manual driving experience preferred)

·       Working independently while remaining connected to the operations team

·       Supporting other patrol or security staff when operational assistance is required

This role primarily operates overnight when Wellington businesses and sites need protection the most, making it well suited to people who prefer quieter working environments and independent work.

What We’re Looking For

·       Current Certificate of Approval (COA) or ability to obtain one

·       Full NZ driver’s licence (manual preferred)

·       Strong communication skills and sound judgement

·       Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

·       Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently

·       Good attention to detail and accurate reporting ability

·       Applicants must already be based in the Wellington region
