About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our high-performing team based in Christchurch.
Reporting to the Security Manager, you’ll take ownership of the service, maintenance, fault-finding and compliance testing of enterprise electronic security solutions across a diverse range of customer sites. You’ll work with systems including:
Intruder alarms and security systems
Intercom and entry systems
Access control
Integrated security platforms
This role will involve occasional travel across the wider northern region.

Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintenance, fault diagnosis, minor works installation and commissioning of electronic security systems
Work across intruder alarms, enterprise access control, CCTV and video management platforms
Diagnose issues across integrated systems in live customer environments
Complete compliance testing and produce clear, detailed service documentation and reports
Work closely with technicians, project teams and subcontractors to deliver great outcome
Provide professional, customer-first support on site
About You:
Solid experience in electronic security, ideally across enterprise & commercial environments
Current Certificate of Approval (COA)
Highly regarded certifications/experience: Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, ICT Protege, Milestone, Avigilon
Current full NZ driver licence
Working-At-Heights and EWP certifications (or willing to obtain)
Good job planning/time management and confidence using mobile field apps (e.g., FieldService)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
Strong written reporting skills (service and compliance documentation)
Working knowledge of NZ standards and compliance requirements
This role requires unrestricted New Zealand working rights and eligibility to obtain and maintain NZ Defence Security Clearance if required.
