We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Assistant - Team Leader to join our Replenishment night-shift team of PetSters at our Avondale, Auckland Warehouse. The role requires individuals who hold an F Endorsement and OSH certification, along with a full driver’s licence - you'll also need to be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As a Replenishment Warehouse Assistant - Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring our stock is accurately replenished to meet customer demands. This includes operating forklifts, replenishing inventory, and supporting various warehouse functions. Shifts run from 4:00 PM to 12:30 PM, Sunday - Thursday.

As a Replenishment Warehouse Assistant - Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring our stock is accurately replenished to meet customer demands. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stock Replenishment & Inventory Management
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to replenish stock.
- Rotate stock according to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) principles.
- Consolidate pallets to optimise warehouse space.
- Move stock from overflow locations to fulfil orders efficiently.
- Maintain accuracy in replenishment processes to minimise errors and reduce stock discrepancies.
- Run replenishment reports to ensure daily orders are fulfilled.
- Identify and address insufficient stock levels for order fulfilment.
- Assist the Outbound team by topping up cartons and fulfilling partially picked orders.
- Support inbound carryover by ensuring efficient replenishment of stock to shelves.
- Put away pallets to designated overflow areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as required, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
- Support team members by being flexible and assisting in other warehouse functions when needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.
- Operational Leadership: Help provide clear direction to the night-shift team to ensure all daily replenishment targets are met accurately and efficiently.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor individual and team output, providing real-time coaching or feedback to ensure high standards of quality and accuracy are maintained.
- Health & Safety Advocacy: Act as the onsite safety lead during the shift, ensuring all team members adhere to OSH standards and safely operate heavy machinery.
- Workflow Coordination: Proactively reassign team members to different warehouse functions (such as Inbound or Outbound support) based on fluctuating volume and priority.
- Shift Handover & Reporting: Manage the End-of-Day (EOD) report and provide comprehensive handovers to the morning management team regarding any pending tasks or inventory issues.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of escalation for any operational hurdles, stock discrepancies, or equipment issues that arise during the shift.
- Culture Champion: Facilitate daily huddles to align the team with Petdirect's values, fostering a collaborative and high-energy "PetSter" environment.
- Management Cover: Step into higher-level decision-making roles and maintain warehouse continuity during periods when the Auckland Warehouse Replenishment Manager is unavailable.
WHAT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS YOU’LL NEED:

Mandatory Requirements:
- Hold an F Endorsement and OSH certification.
- Possess a full, clean driver’s licence.
- Have reach and hoist experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg safely and repeatedly.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment, specifically in picking, packing, and replenishment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and supportive team mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high efficiency.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting shift requirements.
- A proactive and practical approach, using common sense and initiative in day-to-day tasks.
- Flexible to work in a seven-day-a-week business and adaptable to shift work as needed.
