Graduate / Junior Civil Engineer

Wilson Contractors is seeking a motivated Graduate / Junior Civil Engineer to assist in the successful delivery of a wide range of civil construction projects. You will work alongside our Contracts Manager and Senior Engineers, gaining hands‑on experience across project management, health & safety, quality assurance, and onsite delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your engineering career within a supportive, high-performing team. This is a fulltime permanent position based in Queenstown District, where you will be able to explore the regions adventure and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day project management and administration.

• Assist with job costing, monthly claims, and project documentation.

• Contribute to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) planning and compliance.

• Monitor project progress, profitability, and delivery timeframes.

• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Ensure works are completed to design, specification, and client expectations.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn. You’ll be working with experienced professionals who will support you in developing your technical and leadership capabilities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification (BE, NZDE, NZCE, or similar depending on experience).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of people.

• A history of delivering work to time, quality, and budget expectations (through study, internships, or industry experience).

• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
