ABOUT THE ROLES - Temp Dental Assistants &/or Dental Receptionists
Registering to work with Dental Personnel as a temp dental assistant and/or dental receptionist means you become part of the most highly respected and sought after dental temp team in New Zealand. We do everything possible to ensure you are well-supported, and looked after like family.

We provide a very large number of private practices and public dental units  with temporary staff (dental assistants or receptionists) to cover staff absences or shortages.

Our client practices understand temps will likely need some guidance with the many different workplaces, however, the key to a great dental temp is the ability to 'hit the ground running' and quickly integrate with each client's team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Welcoming patients
• Providing excellent patient care, including kind and empathetic support with their dental procedure
• Working chairside with the dentist (or OHT) during dental procedures
• Undertaking Sterilisation Room responsibilities and ensuring infection control protocols are always followed
• Reception duties (if required), answering phones, processing bookings, completing patient callbacks, taking and processing payments etc.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 6 months practical experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Canada, or USA
• Skills and experience necessary to provide quality chairside assisting to dental practitioners for all/most common dental procedures
• Dental qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)
• Excellent knowledge of Infection Control and Sterilisation protocols
• Willingness to be available on agreed days and/or on-call
• Reliable, punctual, and communicative 
• Positive attitude and friendly personality
• Ability to work across a variety of different dental practices
• Experience with EXACT or Titanium Dental software preferred
• Suitable transport options
