Casual Lecturer Position - Multiple Fields
The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a US-based education organization, is seeking casual lecturing staff to deliver academic courses at its newly opened centre in Auckland. More information on this innovative organization can be found at https://www.ciee.org/
Students will be undergraduates from universities in the United States. Courses will be taught in person at our CBD centre in Auckland.
Courses and dates: Each course is delivered on an intensive schedule in a 3 to 8-week block depending on the course. The role includes training on CIEE’s teaching methodology, course preparation, 45 contact hours of in-person classes in Auckland, and related pre- and post-teaching tasks.

Mar 30 - May 9, 2026 (6 weeks): Sustainable Tourism
Jun 15 - Aug 8, 2026 (8 weeks): Academic Internship and Career Readiness in The Global Workplace
Jun 29 - Aug 8, 2026 (6 weeks): Academic Internship
May 18 - Jun 15, 2026 (4 weeks): Culture and Cuisine in New Zealand; New Zealand Past and Present
Jun 15 - Jul 13, 2026 (4 weeks): Economics of Wine; Nature Photography, Social Media, and Environmental Engagement
Jul 9 - 29, 2026 (3 weeks) - High School level program: Photography & Culture: Photography & Culture | Auckland | CIEE

What you bring to CIEE:
· A Master's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory, and a PhD is preferable.
· Passion for education and an appreciation of education as an instrument to connect cultures.
· Teaching experience in the relevant area with proven positive student outcomes and experience.
· Industry experience in the relevant area where applicable.
· Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or professional publications in the relevant area (desirable but not essential).
