Regional Manager
Are you an experienced leader , with a strong background in heavy vehicle maintenance and a passion for operational excellence? Go Bus is seeking a Southland Regional Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our Southland engineering resources, ensuring the continued delivery of a high-performing, well-maintained fleet.
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our fleet across the Invercargill, Winton, Gore and Rural Clutha regions, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including depot managers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs.
As the Southland Regional Manager, you’ll lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance. You’ll ensure that all maintenance work is completed on time and to the highest standard, while managing resources effectively to meet contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery: Maintain COF pass rates and operator ratings while striving to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Leadership: Provide direction and guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with Kinetic NZ’s policies and fostering a culture of safety, performance, and quality.
People Management: Lead and mentor a team of skilled technicians, ensure sufficient resources are available to deliver punctual services, and support training and development initiatives.
Health & Safety: Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with health and safety policies, both for staff and contractors.
Corporate Contribution: Actively contribute to the overall success of Kinetic NZ, identifying opportunities for process improvements and promoting a culture of operational excellence.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Experience in the heavy vehicle industry
5 years in a leadership capacity - preferably across muti site operations
A Trade Certificate in Automotive - Heavy Diesel
Class 2 licence - Class 4 Preferred but not essential
Proven skills in managing teams and optimising operational performance
