Finance Business Partner
Land Search and Rescue is a national volunteer organisation which provides search and rescue assistance to the lost, missing and injured across New Zealand. Our professionally trained volunteers offer their specialist search and rescue skills free to the public, every hour, every day, via the New Zealand Police and the Rescue Coordination Centre. We are a charitable organisation overseen by a Board made up of independent and elected Directors, who appoint the Chief Executive. A team of salaried National Support Office staff support 3,000 trained search and rescue volunteers across 68 local groups and specialist disciplines nationwide.
This role partners with budget holders to ensure funds are allocated and managed effectively, and that forecasting aligns to funding criteria and organisational priorities. Works closely with the CFO and Accounting Manager to facilitate timely business information flows and provide advice through relationships with budget holders, and forecasting, budgeting, and data integrity services. The role also provides high quality payroll services. Land Search and Rescue is going through a step-change in how it operates and this role will contribute to this through developing best practice in finance partnering and identifying opportunities for improvement using technology and improved processes.
Formal accounting training is required – Accounting Technician, B.Com, working towards CA qualification, or CA qualified.
